One, two, three… seven. Yep, this is the seventh consecutive defeat for this Pro Volleyball team, and let’s just say, things aren’t exactly going according to plan. On March 14, LOVB Madison played against Omaha in the Alliant Energy Center and won the match with a score of 25-16, 25-17, 26-28, 25-16 in the last home game of the season. Schumacher and Franklin dominated at the net; Schumacher had a hitting efficiency of .500 with 19 kills and Franklin was nearly invincible with a hitting efficiency of .667 and 18 kills.
Madison continued to dominate Omaha, and it became the four in a row for Madison in their win list while Omaha seemed to be stuck in the mud. The winning streak for Madison? Red hot. The losing streak for Omaha? Well… ice cold. And now, in the middle of this seven-game losing streak, this Pro Volleyball team has made a change that no one could have anticipated. Instead of sticking to the script, they’re bringing in fresh blood mid-season, hoping a roster revamp will be the magic trick to snap this brutal skid.

And now? What’s next on the pro volleyball rollercoaster? LOVB Omaha and LOVB Austin are gearing up for a heated showdown on March 22 at Baxter Arena, marking Healthcare Heroes Night in style. But hold on—this weekend is packed to the brim! Omaha is doubling down with another faceoff against LOVB Houston on March 23, making it a double-header. Oh, and just when you thought Omaha’s roster shakeup was the only plot twist, another pro league just pulled a mid-season switch-up too!

Another pro league had a mid-season change!
Back in January, the Orlando Valkyries and Vegas Thrill went head-to-head in an absolute nail-biter on January 19. This five-setter was a real cliff-hanger with scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 21-25 and 12-15. But then, as if the action was not enough, PVF did the unexpected, they introduced a new member in the middle of the tournament! Orlando Valkyries stirred up fans on January 20 with a major announcement on X.

They stated, “JUST IN: The Orlando Valkyries announce the addition of former Creighton standout Maddy Bilinovic, who will be designated to the practice squad. Welcome to Orlando, Maddy!” Looks like the Valkyries added another weapon to their squad—not for games just yet, but to sharpen their skills in practice. And with Maddy’s talent? It was evident that she was a star in the making!
Maddy Bilinovic had quite a senior season at Creighton and racked up some impressive achievements at that! She was awarded the Third Team All-American by VolleyballMag.com, which can be translated as certified star. She also received a 2024 All-BIG EAST selection as well as a place in the AVCA All-West Region team. And her digging skills? Straight-up elite. She was ranked fifth in the BIG EAST in terms of digs per set and jumped to the third place in the conference matches. Safe to say, the Valkyries just got a serious upgrade!
