Sophocles said, “Without labor, nothing prospers.” But Ally Batenhorst‘s teammate might be overdoing it, and she just needs to deal with it. The former Nebraska and USC volleyball star started her first professional year with PVF’s Omaha Supernovas, and it’s been a joyous ride so far. To ensure their peak form, Batenhorst & Co. have to undergo a rigorous training regimen, but one of her teammates’ motivation seems to be a little too high for Ally to keep up with.
The Supernovas have won both its first two matches of PVF’s second season, starting the campaign triumphantly. The defending champions boast a beefy roster, and Batenhorst is one of the Omaha team’s top new recruits. While the ex-Huskers star isn’t new to what it takes to keep performing at the highest levels, even she wasn’t prepared for the message her teammate turned up with.

The USC Trojans alum posted on TikTok on January 16 sharing the wardrobe choice made by her buddy Lindsay Krause for training day. “@Lindsay Krause never fails to surprise me,” reads the caption of the post, as Batenhorst showed the t-shirt Krause wore at the gymnasium. In the video, Lindsay can be seen sporting a Nike shirt that carries the caption, “If I miss this jumpshot I’ll kill myself,” which is a highly motivating phrase for basketball athletes. However, the intensity of the words seemed to be a bit too much for Ally, and she couldn’t stop expressing her surprise.
However, Krause said that she didn’t have many options to wear to the gym, and hence had to show up with whatever she could get her hands on. She also noted that the athletes were told they could wear anything to training, and hence she just had to make do with the one she ultimately decided to wear. On the other hand, Ally turned up in a plain sweatshirt.
Krause was also a Nebraska student and was a former teammate of Batenhorst. While the latter struggled to cope with Lindsay’s tee, the other Omaha stars could be seen and heard in the background keeping their conversations volleyball-centric. However, whatever her feelings about her squadmate’s apparel she might have, Batenhorst will need to turn her gaze to the task at hand.
The Supernovas are eyeing to retain the title this time as well

Ally Batenhorst was drafted by her new team in December. The prospect of being able to pursue her passion for volleyball despite finishing college was undoubtedly thrilling. On top of that, the 6’5″ star was also set to return to the state that had previously showered her with a lot of love. And yet, Batenhorst took to social media to note how unnerving it was for her to think that she’d have to leave sunny California behind and relocate to the freezing weather of Nebraska in January. Thankfully, it’s been worth it.

In the Supernovas camp, Ally has been in good company. Along with Krause, former Huskers middle blockers Kaitlyn Hord and Kayla Caffey also welcomed Batenhorst into their ranks with open arms. With its roster stacked to the brim, Omaha PVF’s journey so far this year has been impeccable, and they are set to take on Vegas Thrill at Lee’s Family Forum this Friday.
