Harper Murray was distraught when the Nebraska Huskers lost to the Texas Longhorns in the 2023 NCAA finals. She could barely hold her emotions in the dressing room, knowing she played one of the worst games of her career. But she had to go and face the press after that, which made matters more difficult. It was quite a difficult situation for her. Thus, Harper decided to put in a confident persona and declared, “I think we’re going to win three national championships the next three years.”

This statement did not go down well on social media, as people couldn’t tolerate her belief in herself and her team after an abysmal showing. The Nebraska player was vehemently trolled. But the player could have almost proven her detractors wrong this season, as the Nebraska Huskers were on quite a brilliant run. Losing only two games in the regular season, many expected them to lift the title. But an unfortunate semifinal loss to Penn State brought it all to a tragic end, bringing back the trolling. Thus, it has not been the greatest of seasons for Harper Murray.

Now that the year has finally ended, the player deserves some time to herself to recuperate and get ready to fight everything that is going to be thrown at her next year. The good thing is that Murray actually does seem to be enjoying her downtime as she’s spending her time in New York. She recently uploaded two new videos on her TikTok depicting her days there.

Harper uploaded another video in which she was in Times Square. The video’s on-screen text read, “Walking around Times Square, realizing there’s 300k of you.” This meant that she was talking to her TikTok followers, thanking them for following her journey. The Nebraska Huskers player recently crossed the 300k followers milestone, which now is in the region of 310k.

Detailing her ordeal, she said, “My mom and my coaches knew I was struggling for a while, and they were all trying to help me. I think that’s kind of why I was so disappointed in myself. They knew what was going on, and they were trying to help me, and it just wasn’t enough. I knew I let them down. My coaches have been supportive, but I don’t feel like I deserve it.”

But it seems like she’s in good spirits now, especially during the holiday season. This is a good time for her to reflect, recuperate, and rally back to her team where her true calling lies. We wish Harper Murray the best of luck!
