In 2023, the NCAA volleyball finals were held between the Nebraska Huskers and the Texas Longhorns. While the Huskers did look like a decent side, most bet their money on the Longhorns, as they had won the title in the season before that. Sure enough, the Huskers crumbled, and Texas dominated the game, winning 3-0. It was heartbreaking for the Nebraska side. This was all witnessed by Caroline Jurevicius from the bench, as she wasn’t used in the game.
But Caroline’s fortunes were soon about to change. Frustrated with the lack of game time, the player decided to make the move to Penn State this season. Fast forward to December 22nd, and Caroline Jurevicius became the NCAA champion with the Nittany Lions side as they lifted the title after beating Louisville in the finals, with the scoreline of 3-1 showing the gap between both teams. Caroline, who was practically the main player of the champions, was incredibly happy after winning the title.
Now, the player who scored 10 kills in the finals opened up about how she felt during that time when the Nittany Lions were about to cross the line to the News Herald. Caroline said that witnessing the victory in front of her eyes was an experience unparalleled by anything else. Her euphoria reached such a point that she didn’t care how the team scored the winning point. The taste of victory was just too delicious. She felt that the wounds of last year’s defeat were finally washed away. The fact that she played an active part in this victory also meant a lot to her.

Caroline Jurevicius said, “It was one of the greatest experiences for me.” She added, “I couldn’t care less about getting the game-winning point at that time. But being on the court and getting to experience it from that perspective, whereas last year it was completely different, and I was watching us lose a national title on the sideline. I had control and contributed to helping the girls as much as they had helped me.”
Thus, it was a victory, that she wouldn’t forget very soon. But there will definitely be more victories in her career, which will have the potential to be as memorable as this. After all, ever since she left Nebraska, the player has seen her stocks rise like never before. But still, she refuses to forget where she came from.

Before the finals, Caroline Jurevicius had to face her former team, the Nebraska Huskers, in the semi-finals, who were in elite form back then. Thus, Penn State soon found themselves in deep trouble as they fell two sets down. But, eventually, the Nittany Lions rallied together and made a brilliant comeback to win the game 3-2. This put Caroline in a spot as she saw all her old teammates get extremely emotional as they felt devastated after the defeat.

Thus, the player decided to go up to Andi Jackson and embrace her. The duo had been very close during Caroline Jurevicius’ time in Nebraska, and her move to Penn State didn’t affect the depth of their relationship. In fact, the outside hitter posted the reposted video with the caption saying, “My absolute best friend.” Thus, despite leaving Nebraska Huskers, Jurevicius hasn’t forgotten her roots and has kept the Huskers close to her heart. This tells a lot about her great character on and off the field.
