On Saturday, Penn State made a splash on its team’s roaster. The blue and whites have managed to receive a nod from Iowa State’s middle blocker Jordan Hopp. To share this epic moment with her spectators, Jordan Hopp took to her official Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures of her holding a volleyball and wearing Penn State’s jersey. Along with the pictures, she also penned, “I am excited to announce my commitment to Penn State! Thank you, Cyclone Nation, for the opportunities, love, and support. See you soon, Happy Valley.

This is the third time the Nittany Lions picked up players from the transfer portal. Before Jordan, Penn State acquired Maggie Mendelson and Caroline Jurevicius from the top-seeded team Nebraska Huskers.

The major reason for adding Jordan to the team is her exceptional gameplay. As a part of Iowa’s volleyball, Jordan played one game in 2020 but did not record any contribution to the team in the following year, as she was a squad member. However, she poured in her junior and senior years with a record of 268 kills. After adding Jordan Hopp to the team’s roster, the team hopes to be well-prepared for the upcoming volleyball season after a rather disappointing end in the previous year.
