The Nebraska Huskers nation saw yet another history unfold. Interestingly, the two giants of collegiate volleyball collided and what conspired next was no less than a slugfest. The top 2 teams of the season came together to battle it out. Number one in the standings, the Wisconsin Badgers played against the number two in the standings Nebraska Huskers.
The Huskers hosted the Badgers at their home court. In an exciting back-and-forth between both teams, one came out stronger than the other. The game unfolded layers of excitement as Nebraska catered a big upset to the Badgers. Nevertheless, the huskers defeated the Badgers, ending their winning streak and keeping theirs. The Devaney Centre was echoing with the roars as the players kept the spectators off their feet.
A record-breaking turnout

In the battle of the undefeated on Saturday night at The Devaney Centre, an upset was registered for Wisconsin. The Huskers defeated the number 1 breaking their 30-game winning streak and breaking Husker?s 10-match losing streak against the Wisconsin.
Big Ten Network registered record-breaking viewership at the Badgers vs Huskers volleyball match. History was created as 612000 viewers witnessed this slugfest between the Badgers and the Huskers.

This comes just a month after the Huskers broke the record for the biggest turnout of the audience. When 92003 people attended the game at their home court cheering and supporting their team.

The head coach of Nebraska was mesmerized by the performance of both the teams, in an exclusive interview with theAthletic.com he said ?It was a match for the ages tonight, two great teams battling every point. We just found a way to be two points better.? Nebraska took control of the game and in an event of the greatest game of the season, they won it 25-22, 17-25, 20-25, 26-24, 15-13 with the use of a green card that Cook used to challenge a call.
The game lived up to its hype and in the final two sets, the whole place went electric. The game stayed intense for the final two sets with just a one-or-two-point difference between the teams. They are set to battle again at the Badger?s court and then have a chance of battling up again at the NCAA championship in December. The top two teams have yet again shown why they are the giants of women?s volleyball this season.
