Ally Batenhorst’s journey has been nothing short of exciting, from Nebraska to Southern California, and now back to Nebraska. She had spent three years with the Nebraska Huskers before becoming the first Trojan to earn the BIG10 Player of the Week at USC. As a rookie professional with the Omaha Supernovas, Ally has reunited with some old Nebraska teammates, like Lindsay Krause, to bring her full circle back to her volleyball roots.

“I’m beyond excited to be drafted and sign with the Supernovas. It’s such a blessing to be able to play professionally in the state near my family, and I can’t wait to play in front of the amazing Nebraska fans again,” Ally said after joining the Omaha Supernovas. As Ally Batenhorst settles into life with the Omaha Supernovas, she’s also settling into her new apartment. However, things haven’t gone entirely smoothly—she recently encountered a little surprise setback at her new place!

Ally Batenhorst took to TikTok on January 4th to share a video of herself coming out of practice. After a long session with just 12 people attending that morning, she headed to Target to grab some essentials for her new apartment. She shared, “We just finished practice. Now we’re trying to be productive, get groceries and stuff at Target before the cold storm. They only gave us one TV in my room, I’m getting one for the living room. I don’t know how we’re going to get all this stuff up to our apartment. I don’t know how else to do it. On to our second trip.”

Then came the struggle—opening the TV she bought. “Let’s open it. Okay, I’m just so confused because I’ve looked everywhere, and I swear I’m not crazy. There’s only one of these to hold the TV up. How could I lose that? Like, is that even possible? So upset. I don’t know what to do. I called Target like 10 times, and no one’s picking up. I literally refuse to go back. And I was going to finish organizing my room, but I’m about to tap out. I’m done with this video. Bye!”

Batenhorst gives a sneak peek into her new home!

Last month—or, let’s be real, last year—Ally Batenhorst touched down in Nebraska only to be welcomed by the Omaha Supernovas’ excitement. There was a lot of energy as the team posted Instagram stories with captions such as, “Look who’s back in town!” and “That feeling when you get to play in Nebraska again.”

Even Ally herself couldn’t resist the excitement and shared the stories on TikTok reposting them with her own flair for the dramatic and a ‘new apartment tour’ video.

“I’m, like, freaking out right now because I just moved into my apartment in Omaha,” Ally said in the video. She couldn’t stop raving about the spacious counters, cozy dark wood accents, and of course, the massive TV and closet the Supernovas thoughtfully provided. Her excitement was contagious, and her fans couldn’t get enough of her energy, even in a simple virtual tour.

Ally is loving every moment of her new space from the smallest details to the grander features. “They gave me a TV. I’m so happy. And then my closet is massive,” she added, like a kid in a candy store, savoring every little thing that makes her new apartment feel like home. Ally’s obviously enjoying every single moment of her being back in Nebraska. It is heartwarming to see her in her environment.
