The USA Women’s volleyball team’s green signal to the Paris Olympics has left the American fans thrilled. The team qualified for the premier competition this past week, after earning a 6-1 point score at the Olympic qualifiers in Poland. Moments after the team’s victory in eight-team Olympic qualifiers, a star athlete made a significant career transition. The three-time Olympic gold medalist took a leap into the NCAA sphere after their hard-earned spot in the Paris Olympics.

The American volleyball player was in the starting lineup when her team won over Germany in Lodz, Poland, earning a spot in the 2024 Olympics. Soon after, she rejoined her home team, Nebraska Cornhuskers, but not as a player but as an assistant coach. Owing to her profound impact on the national team through her dedication and skills, the champion intends to bring the same to her new job as the Huskers’ new coach.

Olympian Jordan Larson quickly adapted to her coaching role after earning a massive victory for the national team. Her relentless commitment to the game is quite evident through her actions. The update on the career transition was shed light on Twitter by VolleyballMag.com. They stated on their official handle, “From Poland to Lincoln, USA Volleyball’s Jordan Larson jumps right in with Huskers.”

However, Larson’s life is certainly not a bed of roses. After concluding the two-week qualifiers, the athlete had to do some hectic traveling from Warsaw to Munich, Munich to Chicago, and then Chicago to Omaha. Her perseverance is a testament to her great passion for the sport. On Tuesday, Jordan was back on her feet as the third assistant coach for the second-ranked Nebraska Huskers Women’s Volleyball team. Her seamless transition from player to coach was possible through her iron-willed nature and swift adaptability. Larson will be assisting her mentor and Nebraska’s head coach, John Cook.

The volleyball ace emphasizes learning as her top priority. Administering the same in her coaching style, Larson is ready to lead the Huskers to greater heights. She implied and adhered to Cook’s approach in the game. Talking about Nebraska’s team, Larson expressed that she was quite impressed with the outside hitters and also praised their high level of performance and physical strength.

Known for her passing skills, Larson served the US National team with marvelous service and attacks. For her, the right mental approach is equally important, along with having good physical strength and ability. “I think it’s just quieting their mind, quieting their thoughts, and giving them one or two cues to really hone in on and focus on,” she said. Further, in another interview, she expressed her love for the sport, “I just love the sport so much and it’s given me so much.”

Larson is evidently, stoked about the fact that she got the opportunity to be a player and a coach at the same time. Determined to support the US team in the coming summer Olympics, the American athlete is not backing down.
