The NCAA Women’s Volleyball recently witnessed one of its greatest teams take a major championship home once again. The Texas Longhorns have been reigning supreme over all teams for a long time now. While the Longhorns are already big favorites to claim the NCAA Championship a second consecutive time, their latest feat just bolstered their chances even more.
The Texas Longhorns Women’s Volleyball Team took down the Iowa State Cyclones in a long duel on 15 November. A social media post reported the result of the exploits of Texas as they secured a big home court victory. In fact, they also won the Big 12 championship for the seventh consecutive time via their stellar performance.
Texas Longhorns silences Iowa State’s attack

The Texas Longhorns entered the volleyball court as the fifth-ranked team against the Iowa State Cyclones. While Iowa State pushed the Longhorns back after their first set loss, they failed to overpower Texas in the remaining sets. Texas Volleyball tweeted about the grand victory of its women’s team as it won with scores of 14-25, 26-24, 25-18, and 25-20. The tweet carried the caption, “Call us Champs. Again. #HookEm.” The tweet also had an image of the Texas players along with the shining Big 12 Trophy and the text “7 years in a row.”

The women of Texas silenced the attack of the Cyclones to clinch the prestigious championship. Securing 69 digs and 13 blocks throughout the game, Texas effectively thwarted the Iowa State women from making a comeback. In fact, the defense of the Longhorns volleyball team effectively shunned the Cyclones’ first set rate to -0.075. With their staunch defense and their seventh Big 12 Championship win, Texas has now exalted its chances to successfully defend its NCAA championship.

Can Texas defend the NCAA Championship title?
Texas Longhorns Women’s volleyball team emerged victorious in 2022 as it claimed the NCAA Championship. This was Texas’ fourth championship win, which arrived after a long hiatus of 10 years since 2012. While the Longhorns possess the ability to win the championships once again, it is up against some very dominant forces this time.

The Texas Longhorns will face competition from their natural predators, Stanford Cardinal and the hungry Wisconsin Badgers.
