The NCAA women’s volleyball recently witnessed one of the biggest clashes in a long time. The Wisconsin Badgers dueled against the Nebraska Huskers on 21st October 2023 in what became an instant classic showdown. While the Badgers entered the match as the number one NCAA team, the Huskers stole their position after a tooth-and-nails match.
The women on both teams gave their all in the match. The Huskers overtook the Badgers at the last moment. However, the Badgers women’s volleyball recently posted an update on social media, showcasing their undeterred confidence. Fans reciprocated the energy of their team and reacted with equal vigor, cheers, and support.
Wisconsin women’s volleyball team keeps its head high

The Wisconsin Badgers ruled the 2023 NCAA season with a dominating 18-match winning streak. Moreover, the Badgers were also cruising on a streak of 30 straight-set wins. While the Huskers were also on an unbeaten winning streak, their numbers weren’t as flawless as Wisconsin. To the surprise of the Badgers, however, they lost the game in a close-call match despite dominating Nebraska the entire game.

Although the loss is definitely stinging the NCAA defending champs, the team refuses to lower its head and stands strong. Wisconsin Volleyball recently tweeted an image that displayed the team accepting their number two status, but still looking dangerous. The image featured Wisconsin’s setter, Izzy Ashburn, ready to receive the next kill with her hands. The tweet carried the caption, “Forward.” showcasing the strong willpower of the Badgers. Izzy Ashburn is known for her staunch service aces and masterful sets that wreak havoc on the opposite team.
While Wisconsin lost the match, it put up a great show, towering over the Huskers with 18 blocks. In fact, there was a point when the Badgers almost ended the game in the fourth set. The champion stance of Wisconsin, despite the loss, is nothing less than fitting. Badgers fans totally agreed with this take from their champions and massively cheered for their team. Fans reacted to the post with messages of strength as their team looked nowhere, but forward.
