Getting a chance to rub shoulders with elites is something that makes stepping into new pastures easier for most. As the road to the Olympics opens up, new volleyball recruits of the country have the chance to get a taste of the real thing. And with that, the Nebraska Huskers assistant coach Jaylen Reyes is also getting some precious time with the new Huskies ahead of the next season.
Reyes, along with coordinating game plans, is also the recruiting coordinator for the Huskers and his time spent with the new commits only bodes well for the future Nebraska sensations. Along with the coach, some future Huskers stars were also seen in a recent social media post.
The Huskers assistant coach to train future stars

Future Nebraska star Ryan Hunter recently posted a series of pictures on her Instagram. The caption reads, “with my best friends”. Among others, Nebraska’s assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Jaylen Reyes is also seen with the players. Reyes joined the Nebraska volleyball program in March 2018. Reyes coaches the Husker liberos and defense while helping coordinate game plans as well. He made his mark in the Huskers camp in his very first year.

The Nebraska Huskers team, in the 2018 season, had eight newcomers. With that young team, Reyes led them to a fourth-straight final four while also securing an NCAA runner-up finish. Apart from that, as the team’s recruiting coordinator, Reyes made Nebraska the nation’s No. 1 recruiter for both 2021 and 2023 according to PrepVolleyball.com. Apart from Reyes, the National Team Development Program at Anaheim, California is beaming with talents in terms of coaches and players.

Training camp draws talent from throughout the country
Nebraska Huskers have more representation in the training camp in terms of players. Keri Leimbach of Nebraska was also seen with Ryan Hunter in one of the pictures. Other photos show Hunter with more volleyball stars from around the country.

In one photo, Hunter is observed beaming beside 2024 Pittsburg Panthers commit Ryla Jones of Flint Hill School and Mimi Mambu, who was recently announced to be joining Georgia Tech next year. Among the coaches, Cursty Le Roux of the Texas Longhorns has also extended her hand to the preparations.
