The MSU women’s volleyball team dominated the court while the Terrapins struggled against them. The Spartans didn’t just showcase their own strong offense, but they also defeated the offensive endeavors of Maryland. Michigan State Volleyball unveiled the victory news via a tweet on its official X handle.

The tweet said, “Spartans sweep!” The scoreboard showed that MSU didn’t even allow 20 points to Maryland in the first two sets. Interestingly, the Spartans women’s volleyball won the match with scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-22. The match statistics show that MSU badly disrupted Maryland’s offense, which could only land 26 kills while the Spartans scored 41 kills.

Moreover, the stabbing offense of Michigan State women’s volleyball also scorched its opponents with eight perfect service aces. The Spartans also topped the Terrapins in terms of defensive effort as they scored 54 digs against Terrapins’ 39 digs. This marked the eighth home victory for Michigan State, which gave them some additional stability. This will help the Spartans get in the same league as Nebraska and Wisconsin.
