The Kansas State Wildcats Women’s Volleyball Team isn’t one of the most impressive teams in the league. The Wildcats entered the match against the Texas Longhorns with a season record of 13-10. But what unfolded on the volleyball court between the two teams shocked everyone. K-State Volleyball tweeted about the victory of its team on its official X handle with the caption, “THESE SWEEPING CATS.”

The Longhorns put up a good fight, but unusually, they failed to win any of the sets. In fact, Kansas State won all three sets with a marginal difference in points as they scored 25-22, 25-22, and 25-21. The K-State Wildcats didn’t just defeat the third-ranked team, they also defeated a team that was on a 13-match winning streak.

On the other hand, the K-State women’s volleyball team was on a two-match losing streak, and their last loss was a 3-0 defeat. Interestingly, while this is a big season victory for the Wildcats, it also carries a historical value. In fact, with this win, K-State finally shattered its 39-match losing streak against Texas.
