Last October, San Diego Mojo of the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF), North America’s best women’s volleyball league signed setter Kylie Cole for the 2025 season. Kylie, who started her 2024 season with the Atlanta Vibe before she transferred to the Mojo in March, is equally excited to be back. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to return to the Mojo,” Kylie said. “Even though I wasn’t with the team for the full 2024 season, San Diego quickly felt like home to me, so when I got the call from Coach Tayyiba [Haneef-Park] about returning I was more than excited to accept the offer. I can’t wait to get in the gym with the rest of this group and get to work come training camp.” From France to Athletes Unlimited and now to the PVF, Kylie’s journey is quite an inspiring one.

Before stepping onto professional courts, Kylie Cole made waves at NC State, where she won some significant achievements, such as AVCA All-America and All-ACC First Team in 2017. She also broke the program record of 1,301 assists in one season and led the Wolfpack to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the first time. During her time there, she earned 2490 assists, 151 kills, and nearly 600 digs. But it’s not just Kylie who’s a sports star—her husband, AJ Cole, is out here making waves in the NFL! Looks like talent runs deep in the Cole family, and we’re about to dive into his story next.

Kylie Cole’s NFL husband!

Kylie Cole’s husband AJ Cole, aka Alfred James Cole III, is the robust punter of the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL. AJ was an outstanding player at N.C. State, and he has been getting attention with his performance; the 2023 season was not an exception. He made his record on November 5, 2023, when his team won against the New York Giants with a 30-6 score; he punted five times with total yards of 318 yards and average of 63.6 yards. That record stood until the 2024 season when Rookie Ryan Rehkow of the Bengals kicked 64.5 yards and took the record away from him.

But, still AJ’s career has been good—He made 50.4 after 75 punts. In 2022, he was made a team captain for the first time, and by the year’s end, he had been selected as a Pro Bowler replacing Tommy Townsend. And in 2021, he was First-Team All-Pro, leading the league in punt yardage, averaging 50.03 yards per punt.

There were no questions about AJ’s loyalty to the Raiders after the team signed him for a four-year contract worth $12.4 million in December 2021. The man is a work of art on the field and he has an amazing story to tell. Of course, we all know that Kylie has her own legacy going with volleyball, but what’s the love story between this power couple?

What’s your perspective on:

Does AJ Cole's NFL success overshadow Kylie Cole's volleyball achievements, or do they shine equally?

Want evidence that these two are indeed true power goals? A few days ago, Kylie posted a reel where she shows clips of her supporting AJ on the field where each video shows the moment when he rushes to kiss her. When AJ hit his milestone of 100 games, Kylie captioned the reel with the perfect tribute: “100 games🤍 Such an incredible milestone I’m so proud of you!!” From California to Nevada, Kylie’s been by his side, traveling to nearly every game if not all, showing the world just how much she’s there for him. It’s love, it’s support, it’s goals.
