The most awaited clash is now live! As Nebraska Volleyball chases the national title, they meet the Nittany Lions for the NCAA National Semifinal matchup in Louisville, which is creating a buzz like never before. The Huskers are set to make their second consecutive national semis appearance and naturally, GBR fans are over the moon! But as they take over the city and the KFC Yum! Center, they seem to have a special motive in mind.
What better way for the Nebraska volleyball fans to bring in Christmas than with a win? As they hoard the match venue with trumpets, customized red Nebraska t-shirts, ‘Huskers’ Santa hats, and endless ‘Go Big Red’ chants, there is more than one thing they eye. Firstly, a qualification to the NCAA finals. And second, seeking redemption for their Big Ten Conference loss.
However, the collective excitement has had them roll out a red carpet for the team’s arrival outside the venue! In fact, when approached by on-site reporters, the Nebraska volleyball fans made their excitement palpable. One of them said, “Even Santa picks Nebraska! It’s our turn, it’s our year, we got a great team, back at the Final Four, let’s do it!”

And the turnout of Nebraska volleyball fans? It’s just insane. Another one said, “We were at a small restaurant this morning for breakfast and there were about 20 Nebraska fans in the restaurant, 2 Penn State fans walked in and sat next to us. And they said, they sure wish their fans would travel like we do. They’d never seen anything like this!” Truly, they’ve made it despite all odds, which justifies their energy.
Name a better fan base, we’ll wait.

To be honest, Nebraska Volleyball fans have been raising the bar this season. The hype ahead of all major Huskers clashes is real and it sounds loud! Plus, they have been shattering record after record when it comes to virtual viewership too. ESPN recently revealed the numbers that surprised everyone, as the Huskers’ regional final against Wisconsin garnered an average viewership of 798,000, the highest among the 5 NCAA regionals this year.

Even the Nebraska Volleyball regional semifinal against Dayton, which started at a rather unusual hour (post 9 p.m.), drew 617,000 viewers! Well, Huskers’ fans don’t bother about the limitations and it’s obvious. No wonder many of them have been making quite the splurge this year—tickets for the Nebraska versus Penn State match at the KFC Yum! Center were going for $200–$400 (approximately), with flights from Wednesday to Monday running close to $800.
But clearly, nothing is stopping the Nebraska volleyball enthusiasts from going all out. Especially given that the battle is against Penn State, they have a special purpose to clash. Let’s look at what happened a few days back during the Big Ten Conference play.

The Nebraska Volleyball Big Reds look for a big revenge
The Nebraska Cornhuskers were going undefeated this Big Ten Conference season, with an 18-0 streak, combined with a 25-game win streak in general. Until they reached the Big Ten semis against Penn State, where the blue and white lions snatched their undefeated tag.
With Camryn Hannah’s match-winning kill, the Nittany Lions took the match 25-21, 14-25, 25-22, 25-23, securing a share of the Big Ten title. And as we’ve seen, the Huskers take their rivalry very seriously. Thus, it’s quite likely that they dish out a payback for the Lions at the KYC Yum! Center. What do you think of this?
