Former Nebraska Huskers volleyball star Jordan Larson has taken on a new role as a full-time assistant coach for the University of Nebraska’s volleyball program. With the Nebraska Huskers’ Volleyball team going strong on and off the field, Larson has all the ways heading high. She is on to the new role, where every serve and spike counts. Maintaining a harmonious life balance can often be as challenging as a five-set thriller.
In addition to their on-court victories, the team also made history off the court. They set a new Women’s Sporting Event World Record at Memorial Stadium during a match against Omaha, which was part of Volleyball Day in Nebraska. Being a part of the team, in a different role, for some time, Larson recently opened up about her thoughts on the team.

Jordan said, “I think there is this like fine balance between like they all want to be really good like they are striving for excellence every day… and I think celebrating those small victories and those small joys, and I think you can get so caught up in the seriousness of it. And don’t get me wrong, I’m one of those.”
Carrying forward a well-adorned legacy
Jordan Larson’s addition to the coaching staff is a significant development for Nebraska volleyball and a testament to her continued commitment to the sport. Larson, 36, on winning a medal of every colour retired after the Tokyo Games in 2021. Apart from having played for Nebraska since 2005, she is also a gold medalist and a Nebraska native, adding to her strong connection to the program.

As Lauren West, the Husker Sports Commentator, taking to Coach Cook expressed the excitement amongst Nebraska Huskers’ Volleyball team, and said, “
The equivalent of having Jordan Larson as a VB coach is being in a band and having Taylor Swift come in and coach you.” That sums up the excitement of running through the team to have their newly appointed coach. Her ability to weave the intricacies of volleyball with the symphony of life sets an inspiring example for the athletes she coaches.ADVERTISEMENT
