According to a post by the official NCAA Women’s Volleyball account on X, formerly Twitter, Huskers fans have helped to record the highest number of attendance ever for an indoor NCAA volleyball match. While women’s volleyball has been gaining more attention from fans in recent times, the latest feat by Huskers supporters just might be the crowning moment for connoisseurs of the sport. As per the post entitled, “Smashing records!“, 19,598 Nebraska fans flocked to the Amalie Arena, Florida to firmly stand behind their team.

While the latest feat sets a new record in the NCAA, this isn’t the highest gathering of Nebraska fans by any means. Back in August, Nebraska hosted Omaha in an outdoor volleyball match. With 92,003 attendees, the Memorial Stadium match takes the crown when it comes to the highest number of viewers for a college volleyball match. It seems that this support forms a major factor in Nebraska’s performance.
In their 5 matches in the NCAA tournament so far, the Nebraska Huskers have recorded 4 clean sweeps and it looks like their momentum might help them across the finishing line on a high note. However, as it is told, the battle is not over until the last whistle is blown.

While the match itself is highly discussed, a controversial tussle between the Huskers and the Longhorns from back in 2009 is once again in the limelight as the two collegiate volleyball giants square off against each other.
