Since the commencement of the NCAA volleyball tournament this season, Nebraska has always succeeded in coming under the spotlight. The team has paved its path to the semifinals by knocking off the opponent teams along the way. Nebraska Huskers have defeated four teams, including ranking opponents, to secure a spot in the Semifinals.

But Nebraska Huskers is aiming to seek redemption from their arch-rival Wisconsin. Interestingly, one key player of this team is a cross-sports star. Days before competing in the semifinal showdown, the star expressed her bizarre dilemma regarding the sports she plays.

While reducing stress for Nebraska’s huskers before the semifinal showdown, Lana Choboy conducted small interview sessions with some of the key players. Pouring light on the efforts of Lana, NCAA Women’s Volleyball, penned on their Twitter handle, ” This was chaotic Laney Choboy“. Interstingly, Maggie Mendelson, the middle blocker of Nebraska, is a part of both the volleyball and basketball teams of the Huskers. She made a revelation about her sports during the interview.

When asked about their favorite sport among the two Maggie Mendelson played, she paused for a second, seemingly picking the correct choice. Then she said, “ I like them both the same“.  Her love for basketball started with her parent’s dream. Back in the college days, Maggie’s parents were collegiate basketball players. In Nebraska’s last basketball match against Southern University, Mendelson scored 2 points.

Even though Maggie got a chance to play in the last basketball match, she did not get a chance to play in Nebraska’s latest showdown against Arkansas.

Will Maggie get a chance to play in the semifinal?

Nebraska Huskers will be playing a semifinal showdown against the No. 6 ranking Pittsburgh Volleyball team. This season, the upcoming match would decide Nebraska’s fate in the NCAA volleyball tournament. Even though Maggie is an incredibly talented player on the Nebraska Huskers plate, there is, as such, no estimation that she will be included in the upcoming showdown. The decision about including any player on the team is entirely based on the coach’s decision.
