Without leaving a sliver of doubt, the parent body of college volleyball released the Dream-7 team just hours after the season finale. The list witnessed some glorified revelation.

The NCAA Women’s Volleyball’s X-handle boasted the list of the final seven best players from this year’s share as they mentioned in the caption. The list had four players from the Texas Longhorns. Whereas Nebraska had to be humbled by sharing two of its prime notables with the picked-up seven. From Wisconsin, their tallest woman by height and performance sneaked into the team.

The final belonged to Madisen Skinner and Ella Swindle of the Texas Longhorns. Skinner shaped perfectly under the reign of Ella Swindle, opening the game leading by 4-0. Since then, the Huskers needed an error handed by Skinner to stop her from swinging. Even in reaching the set point, Madisen Skinner had no match for the rest.

After receiving the title of Most Outstanding Player, the Texas outside hitter claimed, “Just the belief we have in each other. Ever since I’ve been here I just knew it was the place to be. I felt I’m part of a family, something bigger than myself.” Asjia O’Neal, the Longhorns’ middle blocker, also rose to the occasion with four straight aces and the panache that could leave Nebraska nowhere. Emma Halter also shared her side of the fun with 9 digs and 6 assists for the Longhorns.

The ultimate battle royale

The dream team looked balanced on paper. It contained Huskers’ Bekka Allick, who pulled off a heroic run in the 2021 NCAA Volleyball final against the Badgers. On the other hand, juniors like Madisen Skinner also lit up the list who inflicted a razor-sharp performance last night with 16 kills. It also included outside hitter Merritt Beason, the legendary 6’4″, with a record of 400 kills as the first Husker in history.

However, the presence of Anna Smrek on the list might be interesting to watch if the tall middle blocker repeats what she did last season in Badgers’ run. Even the 2021 Most Outstanding Player was a perfect match against the ilks of Bekka Allick to snatch the victory from the Huskers. So, if the proposed team gets a chance to seal a deal against the Texas Longhorns, the fans would be the ultimate victorious.
