The Minnesota Golden Gophers Women’s Volleyball Team claimed their third consecutive victory on 18 November as they defeated Ohio State. The towering victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes saw the Golden Gophers annihilating them with a cold and clean sweep.

A social media post celebrated the staunch victory of Minnesota, as they increased their win count to 15. The Golden Gophers absolutely dominated the Buckeyes and didn’t allow them to breathe properly during the entire game. In fact, they didn’t allow Ohio State to even reach double figures in one set.

Minnesota women humiliate the Buckeyes

The Minnesota Golden Gophers Women’s Volleyball Team entered the game against the Buckeyes with a clear purpose: total domination. As the match went on, the Buckeyes severely struggled against both the attack and defense of the Golden Gophers. Minnesota Volleyball announced the clean sweeping victory of its women’s team against Ohio State via a tweet on its official X account. The tweet carried the caption, “Clean sweep. #Gophers win their third straight!” The caption also carried three broom emojis to add further burn to Minnesota’s already smashing victory.

The women’s team of Minnesota Volleyball completely shattered the offensive machinery of the Buckeyes with their solid defense. In a humiliating display, the Buckeyes couldn’t cross the 20-point mark even once and failed to even make it past the 10-point mark in set two. The final scoreboard reads 25-14, 25-9, 25-17. Minnesota absolutely crushed Ohio State in every aspect. In fact, it posted way better numbers than the Buckeyes, both offensively and defensively.

Leading the charts in a heavily decisive win

Minnesota’s women’s volleyball team went out, all guns blazing against Ohio State as they decorated the scorecard with blinding stats. The Golden Gophers scored nine scorching service aces in the match while the Buckeyes barely managed two. Moreover, Minnesota’s staggering defensive effort snuffed out 11 shots of Ohio State while they could only do so six times.

A look at Ohio State’s hit rate paints an even darker picture, as the Buckeyes couldn’t even cross the 0.2 mark. Moreover, the Buckeyes’ hit rate even plunged down to -0.114 in the second set. While these numbers look awful for Ohio State, they look great on the resume of the Golden Gophers.
