Sure, getting out of the Red must’ve been hard but isn’t that what life is about? Moving on? And from the looks of it, Lexi Rodriguez’s life looks somewhat serene at the moment, or so her TikTok suggests. Ever since the 21-year-old bid her farewell to Nebraska, she has been showering a heavy downpour of emotions over the internet, expressing her love for her alma mater. “Nebraska Volleyball allowed a little girl’s dream to come true – the dream of playing for something bigger than herself…” she had written.

I mean, it is understandable why she would write what she had written. After all, it was all the hours put in at the Bob Devaney Center that blossomed her into the pro she is. And what was it again? Oh yeah, it was her collegiate journey of jaw-dropping 1,897 points, just edging out Olympian Justine Wong-Orantes’ insane 1,890 career digs. No wonder her farewell was truly an emotional affair for her.

Her last match as a Husker was against the Nittany Lions along with other seniors, Merritt Beason and Lindsey Krause, during the semis. And just as fate would have it, the team lost after giving a two-set lead to the opponents, thereby claiming no title for themselves. Indeed, this loss was heavy, for the girl didn’t get to hold the NCAA trophy in her hands for once in the past 4 years of her collegiate volleyball journey.

“Saying goodbye to a place that became home is not something that I could have prepared for,” she wrote after the match. And addressing the media right after, she reflected on how the growth of the program is something that she looks back on fondly. That’s, of course, with the support that the coaching staff had poured in. She said, “Husker nation has done amazing things for this program and the coaching staff that I have been with throughout my college career has done amazing things as well. When I look back I’m going to remember all the groundbreaking things that we did for the sport of volleyball.”

Fast forward to today, she recently posted another video on TikTok where she was seen spending some leisure time with herself as a soothing background score plays. She wrote, “a life without homework is a life i was dreaming of for so long. 😊 #school #graduated.” Further, she added, “how it sounds when you go to a coffee shop to scroll on pinterest be you dont have homework anymore and ur job is volleyball.” It would appear that finally, the former Nebraska girl is in some relaxing mode, enjoying her me time.

Oh, the joy of getting ahead and moving on in life! And just like that, she is all set to go and undertake the role of her new job as a professional volleyball player at LOVB Omaha!

The Star Libero has already registered significant performance in her career so far with a record of 1,897 digs in the NCAA, but she had to, unfortunately, take to the bench for the big debut match of LOVB Omaha against Madison at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena. And it was right at that venue, where everyone including Harper Murray and other big entities, was present to cheer for Omaha. Rightfully so, the squad won, 3-1!

While fans cheered and celebrated over the victory, what was yet left to be enjoyed was seeing the pro on the court and playing! But this isn’t the end yet. There are more games lined up and she will likely make her debut soon. When do you think she will take to the floor? Let us know in the comments.
