K-State grills BYU in volleyball arena
K-State took on BYU on October 26, in the first of their two back-to-back matches. For the first time in two decades, the Wildcats put away a Top 10 victory at home as they swept an eighth-ranked BYU in straight sets at Morgan Family Arena. The scoreboard of the match read 25-18, 25-16, 25-19. This was their new head coach Jason Mansfield’s first Top 10 win in that capacity. Mansfield said after the match, “It was big. We don’t talk like a ton about rankings or the quality of the team, we just try to focus on their strengths, how we’re going to try to slow them down and be consistent.”?And his team did what he said as they brought a display of their consistency right in the next match against BYU.
