The Indiana Hoosiers are putting up an impressive week which featured a win over No. 15 Purdue and a dominant sweep of Michigan. Junior setter Camryn Haworth, Savannah Kjolhede, Candela Alonso-Corcelles, and freshman libero Ramsey Gary stepped into the spotlight. As a team, they earned well-deserved Big Ten Weekly Honors. The Indiana Volleyball Team has embarked on a historic season with an unparalleled performance, surpassing records. it doesn’t end there they even achieved their best start in two decades.

In a recent post made on Instagram by the official page of Indianavb, captioning it with, “Impact from every part of the court ??” The post presents the stats of how the Indiana players have dominated in every corner of the court. It is no surprise that all of the seasoned players secured the Big Ten Setter of the Week award for the third time in their careers. In the highly competitive Big Ten conference, the Hoosiers find themselves in fourth place with a 5-3 record, a position they haven’t held since 1993.

Previously within the span of this week, Hoosiers outhit Michigan by 300 points (.330-.050). Putting away 15 more kills and committing 13 fewer errors. The IU women’s volleyball team, under the leadership of head coach Steve Aird,? delivered an incredible performance in a conference match. With just eight attacking errors, a record low not seen since 2010, with six of these errors occurring in the second set. Their season record of 15 wins and 6 losses marks the quickest the team has reached this stage, achieving this milestone in only 21 games.

History-making season’s start
Camryn Haworth’s powerful game, which resulted in a collective .301 hitting percentage across seven sets, was a standout. Notably, her role in an offensive onslaught against Michigan boasts an impressive .330 hitting percentage. This facilitated a career-high 18 kills for outside hitter Candela Alonso-Corcelles, which marked a significant achievement. Haworth’s brilliance came close to her second-career triple-double, amassing 40 assists, nine digs, and eight kills.

On the other side of the net, the burgeoning talent of Ramsey Gary, the freshman libero, shone brightly. She seized the title of Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the first time in her burgeoning career. Gary showcased her defensive prowess by recording 43 digs across seven sets, averaging an impressive 6.1 digs per set. with this impressive performance, it remains to be seen whether the Hoosiers can keep the momentum alive.
