The NCAA Women’s Volleyball has been buzzing with several trade alerts of various star players from one team to another. While no such news was coming from the side of the Nebraska Huskers, they have now crashed the party with a loud bang.
The Nebraska Huskers have secured a massive trade as they have received a highly-anticipated player in their ranks via trade. The offensive expert was on the trading block for quite a while and got offers from several teams. In fact, while she was offered a chance to become a Badger, the outside hitter chose to become a Husker instead.
The arrival of Big Ten Player of the Year to the Nebraska Huskers

Taylor Landfair recently added a post to her Instagram profile wherein she announced that she will be joining the Nebraska Huskers. The post carried the caption, “New year, New me, New chapter, New team. I’m so excited to announce I’m going to be a Husker!!”

She also wrote, “So blessed for this opportunity and I thank all the people who have helped me along the way!! See ya soon Husker Nation.” Landfair’s words show that she’s very excited about her move to the Nebraska Huskers. Her enthusiasm is also reflected by Nebraska fans who warmly welcomed her in her post’s comments.
Taylor Landfair played her previous seasons with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The outside hitter worked hard with her team and took it to the playoffs in 2023. However, despite having the 2022 Big Ten Player of the Year, Minnesota perished quite soon in the postseason. Now, she will join forces with the Nebraska Huskers and add the offensive edge the team needs, making it even sharper.

The fierce 2024 lineup of the Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns defeated the Nebraska Huskers in the 2023 NCAA Championship finals in a nearly one-sided showdown. While their previous show of strength was already overwhelming, they have grown even stronger for the upcoming 2024 season. With Taylor Landfair in the team, Nebraska now has Merritt Beason, Harper Murray, and Bergen Reilly beside her to lead the attack. Moreover, they have reunited Madisen Skinner with a former ally of hers from the Kentucky Wildcats.
