One of the most anticipated semifinal matches will be held in the US state of Florida, Tampa, on Thursday night. After having a notable win in the first, second, and regional rounds, the No. 1  team, The Nebraska Huskers is amping up to face the Pittsburgh Panthers in the semifinals of the 2023 NCAA Volleyball Championship. Amid all the excitement, focus is once again on the fans of the Huskers.

The Nebraska Huskers have got some of the most loyal supporters. They have made their way to the records book to attend in huge numbers during the matches of their team. A social media post recently once again showcased their enthusiasm for their team.

Nebraska Huskers receive fans’ support beyond match

The high-ranked seed Nebraska’s players practiced at Amalie Arena in Tampa as they gear up to defeat the Pittsburgh Panthers. Even during the practice session, a good number of fans were present to cheer for the team. Huskers insider Lincoln Arneal posted a picture of the session on his X while writing, ‘’Nebraska just wrapped up its 90-minute practice time before the national semifinals in Tampa. A couple hundred fans in the stands to watch.’’ This is of no surprise, given the previous attendance records of the fans.

Only days back, Lincoln Arneal had shared that a staggering 8,580 Huskers fans attended the match between Nebraska and Georgia Tech in Lincoln, Nebraska. Apart from that, Nebraska Huskers have received support from 255,953 fans in their 20 home matches this season. This set a record in women’s collegiate volleyball as the Huskers became the first team to draw over 250,000 attendees. Recently, as Team Nebraska reached Tampa, Florida, for their upcoming match, the fans once again showed their colors.

Huskers express gratitude toward fans

As the Nebraska Huskers volleyball squad arrived in Tampa, the fans welcomed them with beautiful necklaces. The Huskers could not hide their elation over the warm welcome as the official page of Huskers Volleyball took to X to express its gratitude. It wrote, “Talk about southern hospitality! Thank you Tampa for the warm welcome!”

The Huskers and the Panthers were pitched opposite to each other in the ending four rounds of the NCAA in 2021, wherein the Huskers came victorious. Apart from their fabulous performance on the court, the Huskers look to be slightly at an advantage, given the vocal tonic they get from the stands. It remains to be seen if this makes any difference in Nebraska’s performance at the semis. The first semifinal match between the Huskers and Panthers will be interesting and will be televised on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET.
