Expect the unexpected, they say. Well, ever since the Badgers ended the season for Texas A&M in a 3-2 game, fans surely have reasons to believe this, because, while, the No.2 seeded team walked straight into the next leg of the competition, an army of Nebraska Volleyball fans flooded the home court in Lincoln for this 5-set nail biter!

Yes, a Huskers Illustrated reporter had posted how the Big Red fans were showing up with placards that read, ‘Go Big Red’ in the front and ‘Temporary A&M Fan’ at the back. In fact, the entire venue, the Bob Devaney Center, had broken out into a ‘Let’s Go Aggies’ chant. And now, an Aggies player lends weight to how the Huskers’ fans stole the limelight the other day, catching them in a completely unanticipated moment.

Texas A&M opposite hitter, Logan Lednicky couldn’t help but break her silence on this surprising gesture by the Nebraska Volleyball fans. As per an X post, she remarked, “Having a full gym of Nebraska fans cheering ‘Gig ’em Aggies’ is not something I thought was going to happen today. Not on my bingo card. It was a surreal experience.” This surely added to her 23 kills and 59 swings that night, making it an unforgettable NCAA tournament experience!

Lednicky further stated it was one of the standout moments for the Aggies so far. She said, “We’ve played out some really cool gyms this year, and that was just so awesome to have a Sea of Red behind us.” The Nebraska fans have always been die-hards of the sport. Remember how the highest NCAA volleyball attendance record stands with them, at the Memorial Stadium, Lincoln?

And now this proves just how the Nebraska Volleyball supporters are sincere enthusiasts of the sport. Schedule a match in Lincoln and they’ll show up! But there’s another potential reason. The Huskers and the Badgers have a historic rivalry that goes way back. Thus, the turnout could probably be to take digs at their rivals. No wonder Emily Ehman was stunned. “Rivalries are so dang fun because who would’ve ever thought Nebraska fans would root this hard for Texas A&M?”

Huskers will be fired up,” he said.
