Nebraska’s fans come in all shapes and sizes. As the Huskers head to their 40th NCAA Elite Eight, their loyal fans can’t wait to see Lexi Rodriguez & Co. return to the court to face their next opponents on Sunday. Ahead of crossing paths with Wisconsin for the third time this year, John Cook’s team is looking to be in high spirits. But they might soon be receiving another comrade, cheering for them from the stands.

Back in September, outside hitter Harper Murray secretly set up a TikTok account for the Nebraska HC, which she also manages herself. Since then, the account has amassed a significant following. And now, Coach Cook’s own family members are also making use of the platform to pledge their allegiance to the Huskers stars.

In Cook’s latest TikTok video from December 14, John Cook could be seen showing off his slick dancing moves with his social media manager. The two looked jubilant at their groovy skills, as the HC noted his excitement about Sunday’s upcoming match. But Cook and Murray weren’t the main attraction of the social media update. Instead, it was a young Huskers Nation member who hogged all the limelight.

The decorated head coach’s granddaughter, Madden, was also seen mirroring the dance routine of Merritt Beason. The 4-year-old’s cuteness was overwhelming, and it would suffice to say that having her among the cheering fans would give Cook’s squad an extra boost on Sunday to beat their opponents and head on to the national stage of the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship.

Last year, the Huskers came agonizingly close to winning the NCAA title. After a thunderous regular season, the ‘Nebraska Stars’ reached the finals, only to be defeated by the Texas Longhorns (3-0). Naturally, the bitter experience is making the athletes and John Cook work overtime this year. On top of that, more motivational factors are making the Huskers look like an unstoppable force.

John Cook eying to give the seniors a perfect parting gift

Five Nebraska seniors will be leaving Lincoln after the end of this season, and Coach Cook has a special idea on how to make their last year together special. In the regular season, the Huskers and the Badgers have met twice, with the former winning both of those bouts in stellar fashion. Wisconsin boasts seven wins in their last ten encounters, and justifiably the last two victories have instilled considerable confidence in Cook’s girls. And yet, after the second triumph over the heavyweight opponents, Cook noted that winning the NCAA title would be the perfect follow-up. The Huskers last won the NCAA trophy in 2017, meaning that the current seniors haven’t had a taste of what it’s like to attain national glory.

To ensure the team has enough steam in it, Cook has urged the fans to fill up the Bob Devaney Center and give Beason and the others a mental edge for Sunday’s game. Moreover, with Nebraska playing the regional finals on their home turf, fans believe a third straight win against Wisconsin is imminent.
