“I’m beyond excited to be drafted and sign with the Supernovas. It’s such a blessing to be able to play professionally in the state near my family, and I can’t wait to play in front of the amazing Nebraska fans again,” Ally Batenhorst said after getting drafted to play for the Omaha Supernovas. Well, the outside hitter is now one step closer to appearing before her hometown fans.

Earlier, the University of Southern California alum landed in Nebraska and was greeted by a warm welcome from the Omaha Supernovas. “Look who’s back in town!” read the caption of the story the Omaha Supernova uploaded to Instagram. “That feeling when you get to play in Nebraska again,” they captioned the second story, as Batenhorst looked excited to be back in both clips.

However, there was more as the first Trojan to win BIG10 Player of the Week continued to update fans. While Betnshorst shared the Supernovas’ Instagram stories on her Instagram handle, she posted a “new apartment tour” video on TikTok. “Okay, I am, like, freaking out right now because I just moved into my apartment in Omaha,” Ally Batenhorst stated excitedly.

She also showcased her excitement in the caption. “Yes, I’m dramatic, but I’m excited, oops…” the former Nebraska Husker captioned her TikTok video. The 6’5 outside hitter immediately pointed to the positives of the apartment, comparing it to her “little baby studio.” in L.A. “I loved it, don’t get me wrong, but it’s (new apartment) so cute,” added Benthorst.

The 22-year-old also appreciated how the Supernovas left no stone unturned for their newest team member. “Look at how big the counters are, all the shelves, the dark wood. I love the dark wood,” said the USC alum, like a kid walking through a candy store. “They gave me a TV. I’m so happy. And then my closet is massive,” said Ally Batenhorst as she gave her fans a virtual tour. However, saying goodbye to her friends at USC was no easy task for the new Supernovas member.

Bidding goodbye to USC, Ally Batenhorst is excited about a new beginning

Ally Batenhorst and the Trojans had a successful regular season but couldn’t progress far in the NCAA Championship. A second-round clash against defending champions the Texas Longhorns proved too much to handle. The Longhorns swept the Trojans 3-0, ending the dreams of seniors such as Batenhorst and Mia Tuaniga. Batenhorst posted an emotional goodbye after the match.

Ally Batenhorst tried to act normal in one of her videos featuring Tuaniga but failed. It was a video of the pair dancing, but the outside hitter couldn’t put a leash on her emotions. “College career over. Don’t be fooled, we were sobbing,” revealed the USC star. Thankfully, the former Husker had plenty of time to properly say goodbye to her best friend and teammates.

In fact, the USC seniors even indulged in a little humor before leaving campus for the final time. USC’s record-setting setter, Mia Tuaniga made her dramatic exit on her scooter with a backpack. “Replying to @mia this girl spammed all of our phones and said ‘come to the window’,” Batenhorst revealed in her caption.

Her clip also captured the voices of her fellow USC teammates saying “goodbye,” as Mia Tuaniga continued with her antics. However, the next time Ally Batenhorst and Mia Tuaniga meet on the court, they’ll be rivals, as Tuaniga joined the Atlanta Vibe. And while the Nebraska native couldn’t win the NCAA title, she has a very real shot at the Pro Volleyball Federation title. The Omaha Supernovas will step into 2025 as the defending champions.
