On the eve of Ally Batenhorst’s Pro Volleyball debut, the former University of Southern California alumna is revisiting her college game days. However, she isn’t reliving the memories of playing on the court, but rather one that’s as hilarious as it’s bizarre. Earlier, the 22-year-old outside hitter shared a snippet of an old TikTok video, which left more questions than answers for fans.
One of the newest members of the Omaha Supernovas shared an old video that Barstool Sports posted on Instagram. Interestingly, Barstool Sports themselves simply reposted a video Batenhorst took, featuring a fellow USC volleyball teammate and their head coach, Brad Keller. Yet, what did fans find so hilarious about the video?

The clip the outside hitter shared on her Instagram story starts as any ordinary clip, with Batenhorst wearing a pair of headphones. The former BIG10 Player of the Week then switches to her primary camera to capture teammate Leah Ford. However, things take a wild turn as Batenhorst tries to annoy the redshirt freshman with her feet.
Instead, of paying any attention to the hitter, Ford points at someone outside the bus. By the time Ally Batenhorst turns the camera toward that direction, the bus is already moving away from the person Ford pointed at. However, the 22-year-old immediately realizes that the man she’s filming, standing in front of a sign with a coffee mug in hand, is none other than USC head coach Brad Keller.
“I know him! What is he doing?” Batenhorst can be heard saying right before the hilarious and chaotic clip ends. Despite the clip’s short length, fans didn’t just find it hilarious but also left questions, one of which the former Nebraska Husker answered. “Who’s singing Usher?” commented one fan who heard someone sing the lyrics, “Daddy’s home.”
However, Ally Batenhorst maintained the sense of mystery by simply commenting, “yes” to the query. Neither did the volleyball icon share if their coach ever shared what he was doing outside the bus, and reading a sign while having coffee. Yet, while Batenhorst didn’t divulge further details about the hilarious, bizarre, and mysterious clip, she’s been more than forthcoming about her upcoming pro debut.
The college volleyball icon on the Supernovas and why she went pro
After competing in the final NCAA championship of her career with the USC Trojans, the former Husker is thrilled to be back in Nebraska. That’s because the rookie pro can’t wait to start her professional volleyball career in the state where she started her college volleyball journey. When asked about her thoughts on joining the Supernovas, Batenhorst made a surprising revelation.
“Obviously, Supernovas are amazing, and I came to a game last year actually, and just the environment is so exciting,” Ally Batenhorst revealed to Husker Online. While the former USC senior entered the PVF Draft as a high-profile prospect, she had no idea the Omaha Supernovas would pick her. So joining the team she already admired was a pleasant surprise for the offensive specialist.

The Houston, Texas, resident also spoke about her excitement of sharing the court with former Huskers, especially Lindsay Krause. Before joining USC for her final year of college, Batenhorst and Krause played as Huskers for three years. Yet, their bond runs far deeper. “I’ve known her since 8th grade. I think she was my first roommate at Dream Team Camp, so we’re like sisters,” explained the volleyball star.
So it’s safe to say that while Batenhorst will continue to cherish memories like the one that Barstool Sports reposted, the outside hitter is equally excited to make her pro volleyball debut against the Atlanta Vibe alongside familiar faces.
