Each player belonging to the top 5 on Ehman’s chart showed an incredible game strategy. Especially Nebraska setter Bergen Reilly, who was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday for the second time this season. She is topping the chart for all the great reasons. It?s her fifth weekly honor overall; she?s earned the Big Ten Setter of the Week honor three times this season.
Just like her, the analyst has also grown up as a Hoosi?r fan, Emily’s love for sports was a way of life. In an interview with the Gamepan, she stated, “I remember growing up and playing tag in Assembly Hall or hide-and-go-seek in the basketball locker rooms. When I was about 9, I started following the sideline reporters around at games because I thought it was the coolest job ever.” She was inspired early on by trailblazing women in the industry, like ESPN reporter Allison Williams, whom she had the opportunity to shadow even before Williams became a household name.
