“Very Easily Could Have Died”: Tourist Sent Crashing After Bungee Jumping Cord Breaks, Leaving Sports World in Shock

Bungee jumping is one of the most thrill-inducing extreme sports to catch the fancy of human beings. Over the years, the sport expanded its fandom across the continents, making it an essential activity on torrent junkie’s bucket lists. However, along with the adrenaline rush that bungee jumping renders, comes the dangers that may even end up taking the lives of its pursuers. Likewise, recently, an extreme sports fanatic almost lost his life while jumping with his elastic harness in tow. Nonetheless, the whole fiasco left the netizens in utter shock and disappointment.

A few hours ago, the USA Today network shared the video of a tourist who became prey to a vicious bungee jumping failure. More so, while jumping head-first, the tourist’s harness got snapped, and he crashed into the water body beneath him. Following this, the social media cult flocked to the comment section to express their disregard for the safety gear mishap.

The Internet frenzy after the bungee-jumping failure

Recently, the USA Today Network reported the bungee-jumping wreck that almost injured a tourist rapaciously. Taking to its Facebook handle, the media house penned, “Terrifying moment a bungee cord snapped and sent a tourist crashing into the water. The man was rushed to the hospital and was not seriously injured”. Following this, several sporting enthusiasts and bungee-jumping fandom brimmed the comment section with a series of comments.

Some fans even called out the staff responsible for checking the safety apparatus. One wrote, “The rope is not checked? Why should the staff make such a low-level mistake”. Another one penned, “Fortunately, he is close to the water, or the powerful impact will certainly make him injured.”. Clearly, while some expressed their disappointment with the entire episode, others reproached the personnel for not being cognizant of the safety of the tourists.
