When talking about the US Women’s Soccer team, a name that is sure to pop up is Carli Lloyd. While she has retired professionally, Carli hasn’t said goodbye to the sport. Now, of course, this doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing her playing for the National Team.

But what it does mean is that she might soon be seen playing a similar albeit altogether different sport.
Carli Lloyd talks about the Possibility of a Female NFL Kicker
Known to easily score 55-yard field goals, Carli has been open to the idea of a female kicker in the NFL. She has talked about it on various occasions and has even expressed her interest in playing the position.
She is often seen practicing her kicking and has even had sessions with the Philadelphia Eagles. Since the position doesn’t ask for too much strength and stamina, Lloyd, given her age, can become a successful kicker.
“There are some similarities between kicking a soccer ball and a football,” were Carli’s words in an interview. As she recalled kicking with the Eagles, Carli remarked that it was wild how everything unfolded. It was something she never predicted and that it was a good day to just go out and kick some goals.

Carli Lloyd has had an amazing career. Having been a part of the National team in four Olympics, Lloyd has managed to bring home the gold, twice. She was also a part of the team that won the FIFA World Cup. But all that is now in the past, as she has since retired and taken up many new and different roles.
For starters, she has become a football analyst with Fox Sports. She also went back to skiing after a 17-year break in which she remarked she had “new aches and pains.”

The soccer player also took up Teqball in her free time. She is now often seen as an analyst and commentator for various soccer matches across the globe.
