Shortly after winning in the 1967 Long Beach International Karate Championships, famous kickboxer Joe Lewis joined Lee to stage the power and efficacy of the rapid punch.? Touted as one of the greatest fighters in karate history first, Lee invited him to punch a 6-foot-tall guy. Far from causing a smidge of harm, the punch only pushes him a few feet away. Following this, the super-fast combat star jumped to action.
Lee clenched his fist and set it at a distance of six inches. It pushed the guy off to a chair right behind and Lee watched him slide while being seated on the chair. While it left people spellbound, he invited Lewis to show the one-inch punch. It took Lee less than an inch to knock the karate champion down. Watching Lee in action, one would either want to try such feats or be awestruck by the visuals.
It is absolutely exciting to watch the legend perform action sequences on-screen. Undeniably, it is beyond thrilling to watch his off-screen feats. And performing it on a champion itself speaks volumes of the level of expertise Lee had.
