The LSU star was unstoppable at the tracks of Oregon and claimed the well-deserved crown of the US track and field championship and her ticket to the world championship as well.

However, at the World Championships, the athlete’s form was halted due to continuous participation, and decided to take a short hiatus from the track. Now, Richardson has decided to clap back at the championship, as the sprinter announced an exciting update on social media.

Sha’Carri Richardson is back in training to return to the world championship. On August 1, the athlete posted her famous comeback quote, “I’m not back, I’m better,” on Twitter. The tweet came a few days after Sha’Carri Richardson posted a story about coming back, as she stated, “Budapest Next.”

Richardson had decided to take a break from the world championships. As, since April, the athlete had been continuously participating in the races, affecting her performance at the international event. Sha’Carri Richardson also lost the Gyulai Istvan Memorial event in Hungary to collegiate sprinter Juline Alfres due to her bad start. In the wake of this, Richardson decided to take a small hiatus from the competitive events. Interestingly, the athlete who was supposed to participate in the London Diamond League withdrew from the event and was seen in New York enjoying her well-deserved break.

The athlete’s recent tweet made the Richardson’s fans believe that the sprinter will most certainly add another gold to her hall of fame by winning the World Championship. As, after being eligible to run again amid the infamous ban from athletics, Richardson used the same quote to emphasize her comeback. True to her words, the athlete made a phenomenal comeback to track and field with record-breaking wins.

The essence of Richardson’s quote

In the last few years, Sha’Carri Richardson has faced a few setbacks in her career. The athlete, due to her bad start, finished the USATF championship in fifth place. Richardson was unfortunately not able to make it to the World Championship. Further, the athlete was also banned from the Tokyo Olympics due to doping allegations. But this year, the athlete has come back stronger and proved to the world that she is most certainly back and better. The athlete reclaimed her USATF championship title and also secured her ticket to the World Championship in Budapest.

Hopefully, after taking a break, Sha’Carri Richardson will exhibit her best at the World Championship. The athlete will, however, face competition from some top-tier athletes, including Olympic legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, on the tracks of Budapest.
