Fred Kerley, who was breathtaking with a 9.81-second bronze in Paris, is back in the news again, but this time, not for his running. Late Thursday, Miami Beach police tased and struck him with “multiple hammer fists” during an arrest that was captured on bodycam. Police say he showed up at a crime scene, worried about his car, but claimed he had an “aggressive demeanor” and even took a “fighting stance.”

The aftermath? Fred Kerley faced charges like battery on a cop and resisting arrest, though disorderly conduct got tossed out. But it got worse with year-old charges that saw him behind bars. Kerley was captured on bodycam footage punching him and tasing him while his girlfriend, Cleo Rahman, begged, “Stop, stop.” Rahman was also arrested under Florida’s new law that prohibits individuals from approaching emergency workers. What a turn of events for one of Team USA’s most promising athletes! Well, who is Cleo Rahman?

Fred Kerley’s girlfriend, Cleo Rahman, or DJ Sky High Baby, who was born on August 12, 1993, also deserves attention. But who inspired her to be a DJ? DJ Sky High Baby got inspiration from DJs like DJ Carisma, DJ K-Swift, and Paris Hilton, and seeing them perform, Cleo aspired to become a successful female DJ. Like many other successful people, Cleo also had to move to another place to pursue her career. When Rahman was 21, she moved to Atlanta to pursue better networking opportunities in the music industry. It paid off. And later in 2017, she released her debut mixtape, “24k The Gold Tape,” on SoundCloud, and that was the time her popularity boosted. Since then she didn’t look back; after the mixtape’s success, Fred Kerley’s girlfriend relocated to Los Angeles to focus solely on her DJ career. And that’s where she performed at numerous clubs and also maintained consistent gigs even during the pandemic.

Fast forward to 2023, Cleo participated in the third and fourth seasons of Baddies, known as Baddies West and Baddies East. This queen of beats hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, brought the DJ skills to the crew and created some serious mix to the brew. And not only was Cleo DJing during the show Baddies West, but she also was ‘babysitting’ Chrisean Rock, selected by Natalie Nunn for the job. And what happens when the reunion drama brews? Cleo did not back down and therefore aligned herself with Stunna Girl in a tag-team match against Rollie Pollie that was brought by an online feud. It’s safe to say she wasn’t just dropping beats; she was dropping jaws.

Jump to Baddies East, and Cleo was back as the group’s DJ as well as being on tour. But this season was not only smooth tracks and crowded halls. Well, no, Cleo was right in a fight with Ahna Mac after some words were said about Chrisean online. And just when you thought the whirlwind might settle, Fred Kerley’s girlfriend made a cameo on Baddies Caribbean, spinning the vibe as the main DJ for Lemuel Plummer’s birthday bash. From spinning tracks to sparking drama, Cleo’s experience on the Baddies has indeed been the definition of a rollercoaster! Cleo Rahman balances all her duties, be it as a DJ professional, a girlfriend, or a mother. She is a mother to a young daughter and balances her career with parenthood very well.

What is Cleo Rahman aka DJ Sky High Baby’s profession?

Fred Kerley’s girlfriend, DJ Sky High Baby or Cleo Rahman offstage, is the epitome of the new-age DJs disrupting the male-dominated industry. Sky began in 2015 after spinning beats and her fans couldn’t get enough of her tracks. But it’s not only the music that she is a part of. She has been a cast member on reality shows such as Baddies West and has been a guest on the Stay In Your Bag Podcast. Sky has ambitions of controlling large festivals and jumping, and all this in her bid to be the next DJ sensation.

Apart from being a queen of the DJ deck, Sky is also about family. A mother to a 5-year-old girl, she balances the chaos of fame with the calm of nightly snuggles at home. Fun fact: she discovered her pregnancy mid-flight from Atlanta to California—talk about a plot twist! And while her relationship with Fred Kerley has become a matter of interest (especially after the recent events in Miami), the two have remained very secretive about their status. With an estimated net worth of $400,000 as per ‘Hot New Hip Hop,’ DJ Sky High Baby is building an empire, one electrifying beat at a time.

Why were Cleo Rahman (DJ Sky High Baby) and Fred Kerley arrested in Miami?

January 2, 2025, was a dramatic night as DJ Sky High Baby (Cleo Rahman) and her boyfriend, Olympic sprinter Fred Kerley, were arrested in Miami Beach following a confrontation with police. What exactly happened? The incident unfolded around 11:22 p.m. when Kerley approached officers near his parked car in the middle of an active police scene. Described as having an “aggressive demeanor,” the track star quickly escalated a verbal exchange into a physical confrontation.

And then, things took a serious turn when Kerley allegedly pushed an officer, prompting law enforcement to take action. In the scuffle that followed, officers used a stun gun to subdue him before placing him under arrest. But the chaos didn’t stop there. As officers focused on restraining Kerley, Rahman stepped in, and reportedly it led to police officers’ attention and ultimately resulted in her own arrest. She was charged with resisting an officer without violence, adding another layer of trouble to the already heated situation. Though both of them were released on the same day.
