In recent years, Athletes have defied their limits and defined new ones to be followed for generations. One such star of this track and field sport, recently opened up on his thoughts toward a successful life. And some diamonds dropped in.

Kenyan athlete, Eliud Kipchoge, two-time Olympic Gold medalist, the world record holder runner, who broke the world record by doing a marathon distance in under two hours sat down with Dr. Rangan Chatterjee on his ‘Feel Better Live More’ podcast, discussing his story, and his mantra to succeed in life. The podcast which was posted by ‘RoriDunk’ on X, was truly a gem of conversation. Kipchoge handed out his recipe for success as he gave three golden rules for it. The Most interesting and number one recipe was the “Vitamin N”. Host Dr. Chatterjee was also taken aback at the mention of this. While he asked what it stands for, Kipchoge explained, “N is to learn to say No!”

He talked about the three main rules of being extra-ordinary in the race and in life, to become a champion, to break the normal limits, to break from the cycle of being unproductive. Kipchoge’s second recipe was to set one’s priorities right, to affirm and give importance to one’s growth. Third but not the last is to “avoid complaining.”
The champion gave paramount importance to discipline as he pointed out, “The indisciplined ones are not free. They are in prison. The disciplined ones are free in life.” Eliud discussed about running, his journey throughout his career, and a lot more.

A long-distance runner par excellence
Eliud Kipchoge is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and the world record holder in marathon running, he did the sub-two-hour marathon in Vienna in 2019, where he ran 26.2 miles in 1:59:40, even though it is not considered the official marathon record. He broke his own record and made a new record by running the 2022 Berlin Marathon in 2:01:09.

In 2023 Eliud Kipchoge ran the Berlin Marathon in 2:02:44 to become the undisputed champion of Berlin. He broke the record of Haile Gebrselassie to become the only athlete to win Berlin five times. The growth of the Kenyan is very impressive, from winning the first ever Bronze at the Athens Olympics in 2004 to turning them into Gold at the Rio Olympics and Tokyo Olympics. Undoubtedly he practices what he preaches. His career tells it all.
