The track and field fraternity saw Usain Bolt leave a legacy that will be unmatched for generations. He dominated the sprinting competitions by not giving a chance to his compatriots. Hence, he is the benchmark for most athletes, looking to succeed. Notably, from the 2008 Beijing Olympics to the 2016 Rio Olympics, Bolt won every single major gold medal that was there to win, apart from the 2011 World Championships.

Bolt had a disqualification during the 2011 Daegu World Championships that saw him losing ground. Hence, it became a significant moment for him as he missed out on consecutive gold medals at the World Championships.

Thus, it was a standout moment. However, his World Championships in 2009 saw him creating a world record in the 100-meters. After that, the unthinkable happened.

While everyone focuses on his 100-meters, Bolt was equally dominant in the 200-meters. In fact, he won the 2011 World Championships gold medal for that event, which means he won every single gold medal at the Olympics and World Championships from 2008 to 2016. A remarkable achievement, nonetheless.

To reach those heights, one has to sacrifice many things for years. Bolt is a living example of following his passion, honing his craft, and becoming a legend.
