With superhuman speed, Usain Bolt has left a legacy in the world of sports that still causes a buzz even after his retirement in 2017. With a net worth of nearly $90 million, the star has made waves in the business world with his various endorsements, business deals, and ventures. However, things took an ugly turn in January 2023.

Bolt faced a substantial setback when he discovered a whopping $12.7 million missing from his account with Kingston-based Stocks and Securities Limited, a local investment firm. After nearly a year since the fraudulent incident, Bolt has stayed committed to uplifting Jamaica, and another investment has sent fans into a frenzy.

In a recent post on Instagram, speed master and philanthropist Usain Bolt posted a video of an under-construction building in Jamaica. He wrote in the caption, “Me Never buckle from struggles life set fi me. Me overcome the challenges and still control me destiny” – #Thankful ♾️” The sprinting legend had previously ventured into commercial development with Alpha Tree, a business process outsourcing (BPO) facility spanning seven floors, serving Star Tech as its client. This project completed approximately a year or two ago, was financially supported by VM Wealth Management.

Bolt’s latest endeavor, another BPO, garnered attention when a glimpse of the property was shared by YouTuber Rush Raymore Reviews in January 2022, and the almost-finished glimpse was recently shared by the track legend himself. This glimpse soon saw a surge of responses to his post as fans were quick to notice the strategic location. It is across the street from the business where Bolt faced the financial setback. Instantly, fans started speculating whether it was a deliberate move by Bolt.

Fans hail Bolt for standing up for Jamaica

One fan pointed out that the latest venture was a clapback at the business where Usain Bolt lost his 12 million dollars, saying, “Building a commercial building across the street from the building that stole your money is some different kind of flex enuh… 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿”

While one fan applauded the track legend for his move, writing, “We should all take something from this man. He have is money he party he do sh*t but at the end of the day he’s using is head and setting foundation for this kids and family. I wish most of us would think like he do. Respect and manners” Another fan shared, “Our living hero 🙌🙌 yuh make we proud inna every aspect.”

Yet another user took a dig at the company behind the financial fiasco and write, “When your robbers look across from their building, they will see you progressing and staring back at them. Haunted for life they’ll be.”

Meanwhile, a civil engineer who seemed to be involved in the project expressed his pride writing, “An honour working with a living legend 🙌🏾 grateful being a part of your project”.

Although it remains unclear if the two properties are connected, fans eagerly await the completion of Bolt’s latest project, anticipating what the future holds for this remarkable athlete in both the sports and business worlds.
