25-year-old Gabby Thomas has outdone herself at the USA Track and Field Golden Games on Sunday. She not only won the 200m race but also made her mark in the 100m race by grabbing the 3rd position. Notably, Thomas specializes in both the 100m and 200m.
She was one of America’s fastest women to watch at the Golden Games on Sunday. She absolutely killed both the races and earned her rightful podium position. Gabby Thomas shines at the Golden Games
The USATF Golden Games happened at 2:30 ET on Sunday. The lineup of the games was superb with athletes like Fred Kerley, Rai Benjamin, Christian Coleman, and Michael Norman racing it out.
At the women’s events, Elaine Thomspon-Herah was the one to watch out for. The 100m Olympic champion, however, did not have a successful stint at the Golden Games. She shockingly opted out of the finals.
Meanwhile, it was underdog Gabrielle Thomas who shined out. In the first round of the 100m, Thomas came 7th. But she slowly picked up her pace and went on to perform better in the heats.

In the finals of the 100m, Thomas gave an impressive performance and finished the race with a timing of 10.86 seconds. This earned her the 3rd position. However, this was not the only highlight of her day.
About 20 minutes later, Gabby Thomas geared up for the 200m finals. The now 100 m bronze medalist showed no signs of exhaustion. As the gun sounded, Thomas flew. With a time of 22.02, she finished in first place.
The 2nd and 3rd places were earned by Brittainy Brown and Jenna Prandini, both American athletes. Safe to say, Thomas’ hard work and training paid off. She was the star of the day with two medals on her chest.
