This young pole-vaulter made a 19-feet jump in high school and accomplishing such a huge feat was one of the most important parts of his life. However, this moment is important for one other reason related to his father. His father’s PR was also 19 ft, and he was able to pass him up is a big thing. Surprisingly, his father was supposed to be the first person to ever jump 18ft in high school. However, some turn of events made things precacrious for him. After he jumped 18ft, the jump was remeasured as per previous rules which claimed that the measures were lesser than 18ft.
This incident made it really special for Duplantis to attain an impressive 19ft jump in high school, as he now had bragging rights and the makings of a quality sportsman.
