The 11th edition of Wings for Life World Run by Red Bull was scheduled to take place last Sunday, May 5 2024 across the globe. Runners and wheelchair users joined hands to raise funds for one noble cause. The global running event is raising aid to fund spinal cord research injury research. Carlos, amid this pulsating energy of the Wings for Life World Run, emerged as a beacon of inspiration.

The official Instagram account of Red Bull USA shared the video of Pardo crossing the finish line unassisted. They captioned the post, “Step by step working towards a cure…Carlos was told his injury would leave him paralyzed from the neck down. Determined to refute his diagnosis, Carlos had continued to push his boundaries each and every day – including today, at this year’s Wings for Life World Run. A race raising critical funds for spinal cord injury research.”

About four years ago an unfortunate incident in Pardo’s life left him Quadriplegic. Quadriplegia is an incurable condition that affects all four limbs and the torso in the human body. But going beyond all expectations, Pardo has not only participated in the Wings for Life World Run but emerged triumphant.

As he aimed to support the WFL world run’s fundraising initiative he crossed the finish line unassisted. His journey speaks volumes of his indomitable will and unwavering courage. Carlos A Pardo is not only a motivational speaker but also an author. After Pardo’s first book hit the market he shared his thoughts behind not giving up.

“Being paralyzed from the chest down, gave me no option. It was either keep going or stay sitted in a wheel chair my whole life”, Pardo stated. In a conversation with Shoutout Miami Pardo further added, “Being able to overcome with me goal and challenges. I would like to motivate people to do changes in their lives.”

Pardo also gave credit to her beloved wife Adriana, for always being by his side. Watching the clip of Carlos A Pardo being determined to finish the race independently won the hearts of netizens. Instagram users showered their love and respect towards the unwavering determination of Pardo.

One of the Instagram users commented, “Gettt it!!! What a freaking inspiration !!!!”, rightly referring to Pardo as an inspiration. An admirer shared a cathartic outburst and commented how Pardo’s journey has moved them.

They wrote, “👏👏👏Tears in my eyes after seeing his progress. We “run” the first one in 2021 all the time in wheel chair. This year he walked many times and he was determined to walk a long way to get to that finish line!!👏👏🏁🏁🥇”

Another fan, who is also fighting against Quadriplegia mentioned, “Amazing! Keep on fighting like all of us.” Expressing a wish to participate in the Wings for Life World Run they wrote, “One day I can hopefully also manage to join the wflworldrun unassisted.”

Referring to Pardo as a ‘winner’ one fan shared, “Wooooooow 🔥 that’s amazing 😍 i so strong 💪 the real winners 👏”  Even after such a devastating setback, Carlos moved forward to author his first autobiographical book and then achieved such a feat in the global event. “This was amazing. Go Carlos!!!”, appreciated another Instagram user.

Carlos A Pardo is a man who refuses to let his circumstances define him. Pardo’s dreams know no bounds. Thus, he paved the way for himself to have a future where limitations are shattered.
