Graduation day is here as the year comes to an end. Many students are heading into a new academic year, and it is time to say goodbye to the final-year students. This includes 20-year-old Favour Ofili who is graduating from the same university as Sha’Carri Richardson.
Just like Sha’Carri Richardson, the young Nigerian sprinter has proven herself as one of the greatest sprinters at LSU. She is also a 13x All-American first-team member. Ofili took to social media, to pen a heartfelt message for her fans and LSU, as she donned the graduation hat.

Favour Ofili took to Instagram to thank LSU for her collegiate career. The post carried the caption, “Today marks not just the culmination of years of hard work and dedication but a testament to the support, guidance, and unwavering belief from cherished mentors, friends, and family. She further added, “Your encouragement fueled my determination, your wisdom shaped my perspective, and your presence made every challenge conquerable and every success sweeter. Thank you all for being a part of this incredible chapter in my life.” Her message came along with several smiling pictures of her. Ofili was donning the signature gold and purple colors of LSU with a graduation robe and hat.
Favour Ofili is the first-ever female NCAA athlete to break the 11-second barrier in 100m and the 22-second barrier in 200m. In fact, while Sha’Carri Richardson is the fifth-fastest woman of all-time at 10.65 seconds, Ofili’s best is 10.93 seconds in the 100m category. Interestingly, while the Nigerian already shares her alma mater with one world champion, she shares her sponsor with another.
