As the track fans were lost in their reverie, Diamond League Athletics shared an update that answered all their prayers. In a series of Instagram stories captioned, “The #RoadToTheFinal has been laid out,” the Federation announced the upcoming competition schedule for both Lyles and Richardson. The thrilling events are set to begin on April 20, 2024, with the Xiamen Diamond League. Then, the track stars will be seen in Suzhou on April 27, 2024, followed by Doha, Marrakech, Eugene, Oslo, Stockholm, Paris, Monaco, London, Lausanne, Silesia, Rome, Zurich, and Brussels in quick succession.

However, these are not the only events where Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson might delight their loyal subjects. There are also the U.S. Nationals, the indoor championships, the Olympic trials, and above all, the Paris Olympics to look forward to. While the track fans eagerly await electrifying performances, the issue of fatigue looms over their packed schedule.

Noah Lyles’ balancing act for a packed competition schedule

While Sha’Carri Richardson is still green in her elite track career, Noah Lyles considers himself a veteran. He often shares his pearls of wisdom with the track and field community. In August, the double champion uploaded a YouTube video and addressed the sprinters in a heart-to-heart conversation. He said, “when times get hard and you are on your back and your coach is telling you to get up after you have just thrown up you are gonna think to yourself why am I doing this?”
