Sha’Carri Richardson continues to make waves on social media. The 23-year-old after facing doping allegations and a ban from the big games, is now again hitting the headlines. This time Richardson has left the world in awe for her iconic fashion moments and staunch wins in top-tier events such as the 2023 Wanda Diamond League and the World Athletics Championship. The sprinter even managed to clinch her first gold at the Worlds this year.

Interestingly, amid the soaring rise of Richardson’s fame, an unseen picture of the athlete has come to light. Post her win at the World Athletics Championships, the LSU sensation’s photo with the 23-year-old Bahrain sprinter has gone viral on social media.

Sha’Carri Richardson’s picture goes viral

On Sunday, Track and Spice posted a picture of two athletic icons on Twitter. In the picture captioned “Young Queens. Newly crowned World Champion Sha’carri Richardson, with her blonde highlights, was posing alongside 3000m steeplechase winner Winfred Yavi.

This picture has gone viral after both athletes were able to clinch their first gold in the World Athletics Championship. LSU star Sha’Carri Richardson won the 100-meter event and became the world’s fastest woman by clocking in at 10.65 seconds. Further, to add more glory to her growing hall of fame, Sha’Carri Richardson also joined the forces of Team USA to earn her second accolade in the 100-meter relay race.

On the other hand, Winfred Yavi, after dominating the Asian Championships in 2019, won the 3000-meter steeplechase by surpassing the Kenyan team. 23-year-old Yavi even managed to make history at the event.

Winfred Yavi creates history at the Worlds

After trying to secure her spot at the podium for two years, last month Winfred Yavi created history at the Worlds. The 23-year-old, while representing Bahrain, became the world champion by winning the 3000-meter steeplechase in 8:54.29, the fourth fastest time of all time in the event.

The sprinter even managed to create history by becoming the first Bahraini athlete to win a steeplechase medal at the World Athletics Championship. Furthermore, the second and third positions were secured by team Kenya’s Beatrice Chepkoech (8:59.98) and Faith Cherotich (9:00.69), respectively.
