The word of athletics has seen many staunch sprinters create history on the tracks. In 1988, Florence Griffith Joyner, with her one-legged tracksuit, set a record on both 100m (10.49) and 200m (21.34) tracks that stand strong even after 35 years. Another US track and field legend, Allyson Felix, has also become a known name after clinching 14 gold medals at the world athletics championship and a gold at the 200-meter race of the 2012 Olympics held in London.

Intriguingly, following these two staunch athletes, a Jamaican sprinter has etched her name in the history as well. With her back-to-back extraordinary performances on the 200-meter tracks, Shericka Jackson has also restored the glory of team Jamaica. And after her recent win at the 200m in Diamond League, the athlete has surpassed Felix and Joyner in top 200m victories.
