Shericka Jackson has brought back the glory of Jamaica by clinching the victory on the tracks of Eugene. In August, the 29-year-old Jamaican sprinter faced disappointment on the 100-meter tracks of Budapest at the World Athletics Championship, as the athlete had to settle for the second position by clocking in 10.72 while Sha’carri Richardson won the race in 10.65 seconds.

However, as she sprinted her way towards the finish line in the Hayward field, Jackson trounced the American sprinting icon on the first day of the Diamond League Finals in Eugene and stood atop the podium with the 100m title.
