Allyson Felix was the undisputed queen of the track in the 200m event. Before the incident in Moscow, she had three world titles and an Olympic gold in the event. Her injury kept her from creating a history that would have put her name at the top of the all-time list ahead of legends such as Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson. When the race began, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce had already acquired a lead within the first two steps, but Felix was on her heels. She was determined to continue her winning streak from the 2012 London Olympics games. The American ace had trained very hard to give Fraser-Pryce a definitive challenge.
