Will Claye knows how to enjoy his offseason. When he is not competing, the 32-year-old athlete likes to dedicate himself to making music and designing clothes. Recently, he took his zeal for fashion to new heights by walking the runway at the 2023 New York Fashion Week on the fifth day of its commencing. Track Spice, a popular blogger on Twitter, compiled the pictures and the video under one post that read, “Off season Shenanigans Will Claye at New York Fashion week”.

Claye wore a black ensemble, opting for a light jacket instead of a shirt and a pair of baggy trousers. He completed the sleek and modern look with a diamond-crusted chain and a cross pendant. Moreover, Claye kept his 130K followers on Instagram updated about his exciting fashion week experience, sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos.

At the afterparty, Will Claye raised the roof and danced till late at night, per a snippet attached with the tweet. He changed his look for the party and donned a half-sleeve leather jacket that he kept unzipped and a pair of black sunglasses. This party could not have come at a better time for the Olympian as it gave him the chance to drown his sorrows from the World Athletics Championships.

Will Claye found solace at New York Fashion Week

Will Claye holds a bronze medal from the 2011 World Championships. He aspired to add gold to his achievements this year. Having set his objectives straight, the Olympic silver medalist competed in the triple jump event at the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships. Claye showed promise and finished second, advancing to the World Athletic Championships for the fifth time in his career. Nevertheless, in a twist of fate, Claye failed to realize his dream and left Budapest dejected.

Will Claye placed eighth in the triple jump finals at 55-9. While he had hoped to make the podium, the results left him heartbroken.
