The United States?.”?However, things took a turn for the worse when a few basketball enthusiasts heavily criticized the athlete for his comments.

Amid this situation, $5,000,000 worth of hurdler Rai Benjamin reposted the tweet on his social media. Benjamin also posted a status on Twitter. The athlete while highlighting the outrage against Lyles by the NBA fans, penned down the status “NBA triggered” accompanied by the laughing emojis.

In support of this,?Lyles?s track and field teammate chimed in to defend the newly crowned World Champion. US sprinter Fred Kerley posted a tweet on social media in defense of Lyles. On August 28, Kerley posted the full form of the NBA, “National Basketball Association,” on Twitter, highlighting that the game is a national league while athletics is represented on a worldwide scale.

 

However, irrespective of the support from his teammates many NBA fans and players have shared their thoughts on Lyles’ comments on social media.

After this controversial? moment, ESPN posted the 26-year-old?s comment on Instagram with the Caption”Noah Lyles shared his thoughts on how NBA? compares to the World Athletics Championship.” Amid this, Kevin Durant, who has been named the NBA Finals MVP twice, penned down his thoughts under the post.

As The Phoenix Suns player wrote down, ?Somebody help this brother.” Further, his teammate Devin Booker disappointed by Lyles’ comments also reacted with a face-palm emoji under the post.
