At the beginning of the month, Nia Ali made a perfect comeback by winning the U.S. track and field championships. She won in the outdoor 100 M hurdle race with 12.37 seconds, which is her second-highest record. This title was her first outdoor title, which she won after two years of hiatus from the sport. She continued her form and recently won the 100M hurdles at the Monaco Diamond League with the lifetime best record of 12.30 seconds.

The track and field champion has written an emotional and encouraging message for Ali. After winning her 100M hurdle race at diamond league, the 34-year-old world champion Nia Ali achieved what one might think impossible at her age. This resilience and dedication was acknowledged by Richardson.
On her Instagram story, she wrote a message with the clip of the race of 100m hurdle at the diamond league and said that nobody is talking about Nia. For her, it is enough that she is an amazing athlete and a mother of three beautiful children. She further said that Nia Ali is an icon and we are watching an icon making history in front of our eyes. Richardson referred her to the title of ‘The Mommy of the all‘ and said, “I’ll argue about her all day!!“. She thanked the world champion for being her inspiration.

She also described her emotions, saying she had tears in her eyes after watching her greatness. Nia Ali has an illustrious career and her comeback is indeed an inspiration to many.
Nia Ali’s Track and Field Come back
Nia Ali’s track and field career is impressive. During her career, she won the 60 hurdles at the indoor world championships two times. The first was in Sopot, Poland in 2014, and the other was in Portland, USA in 2016. Later on in the same year, she won a silver medal in the 100 hurdles at the 2016 Rio Olympics with 12.59 seconds.
She cemented her position as a championship performer after winning the outdoor 100 hurdles world championships in Doha in 2019. She won the race in her then record time of 12.34 seconds.

After that Ali has not competed for two years. The first year was of pandemic and the next year she took hiatus due to her pregnancy with a third child. Last year she participated but failed after falling down at Hayward Field. This year after back-to-back, first position finishes in two competitions in a month gave the needed boost for next month’s world championships in Budapest.
